Want to get involved in YOUR Union?
It's not enough to have the Union take care of issues for you. You are a vital part of this Local. The goal of the Local is to have as many involved members as we possibly can, that way there are eyes and ears across every site making big differences in each other's lives. If you see any areas of the Local that needs to be strengthened and you have a certain skill or expertise that can be utilized for YOUR union my advice is to get involved. There are lots of ways to get involved. You could be a contact for the Union at your workplace, learn more about Health and Safety, find out about your workplace rights. Each individual member makes up the Union. So if you have an opinion that the Union doesn't do anything, just ask yourself what am I doing to help strengthen the Union? My advice is to get involved.
In Solidarity,
Azaveous Oliver
