Payroll Discrepancy Grievances results

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I want to report that several members of Local 100 at the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach have  reached out to the Local in regards to being overcharged  Health and Welfare deductions that were way above their authorized amounts. I filed several grievances regarding these issues and they were satisfactorily settled with the grievants receiving full overpayment reimbursement checks. Again if you are currently experiencing any payroll discrepancies in regards to Health and Welfare deductions or not receiving 401k Employer Health and Welfare contributions after waiving health coverage, please contact your representatives or contact me at ChstwrdL100@gmail.com

Employer Payroll Discrepancies

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I have noticed an increasing number of members at the American Corporate Security sites that have had issues with their Health and Welfare deductions coming out of their payroll checks. The amount deducted from their paychecks are way above AUTHORIZED amounts. This discrepancy is in part Humanomics, Boon Group and Employer. This is not limited to American Corporate Security as it pertains to all Employers that have current Collective Bargaining Agreements with Local 100. If you are one of these employees or know of any fellow members at your worksites that currently have this issue please contact your representatives or get in contact with me to file a payroll discrepancy grievance. Through this process we can begin to get all parties on the same page and correct this mishap.

Health and Welfare waiver 401k plan

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I just want to report an important victory for Local 100 with the company American Corporate Security. In several Collective Bargaining Agreements with American Corporate Security in the Los Angeles / Long Beach Harbor there is an article under Health Insurance regarding those Individuals that waived out of Medical coverage because they were covered by another group major medical plan, or covered by their spouse's insurance coverage. When these members were approved to be waived the employer's Health and Welfare contributions were then supposed to be forwarded to the Union sponsored 401k plan for the employee. Recently a member needed assistance because they were getting no where with the company in regards to this issue. They contacted me and needed assistance. I proceeded with a grievance on behalf of the member and before it could even be submitted, the company agreed to retro any back money immediately and forward the Health and Welfare contributions to the Boon Group so that a 401k account could be set up with Wells Fargo on the employee's behalf. The company stated that this is the first employee to receive 401k benefits in that process at their sites in the Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbor. This is an important victory because this has been in the CBA well over 3 years! So I want to report this victory because I want you to understand that the Local is here for you and working hard on your behalf... If you have any issues regarding an incident like this please contact your representatives...
