WBCT Ratification results

The election process at WBCT is currently under investigation by the International.

STS Ratification results

On June 3, 2014 at 7:00p.m. STS's ratification vote for the new Collective Bargaining Agreement concluded. The results of that vote are as follows:

STS Accepted the negotiated CBA by a majority vote of 34 to 20.

The opening of the ballot box, reconciling the ballots, sorting the ballots, counting the ballots, and transmitting the results to the membership all took place in the presence of 3 Evergreen ACS employees to ensure that a complete and fair election process had taken place.

Thank you to all Union Brothers and Sisters that showed up and exercised your right to vote.

Want to get involved in YOUR Union?

It's not enough to have the Union take care of issues for you. You are a vital part of this Local. The goal of the Local is to have as many involved members as we possibly can, that way there are eyes and ears across every site making big differences in each other's lives. If you see any areas of the Local that needs to be strengthened and you have a certain skill or expertise that can be utilized for YOUR union my advice is to get involved. There are lots of ways to get involved. You could be a contact for the Union at your workplace, learn more about Health and Safety, find out about your workplace rights. Each individual member makes up the Union. So if you have an opinion that the Union doesn't do anything, just ask yourself what am I doing to help strengthen the Union? My advice is to get involved.

In Solidarity,

Job Site Postings

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It has come to my attention that several individuals have taken it upon themselves to act in an immature fashion by defacing ratification notices posted on the job sites.  Let's all be adults and refrain from these childish acts of vandalism.

Fraternally,

Michael P. Hough
